Duties:
Responsible for system design and planning for indoor DAS and outdoor Small Cell projects that include but are not limited to, private UHF/VHF, public safety, cellular, and Wi-Fi systems.
· Perform designs using iBwave software, by formatting and designing complex systems. Translates customer requirements into clear designs for public safety, Cellular (LTE, UMTS,5G) DAS, and WLAN systems.
· The DAS Design Engineer will develop coverage and capacity prediction models and the associated build of materials for customer facilities including but not limited to sports venues, shopping malls, hospitality, and convention centers, hospitals, universities, office spaces, and transit systems.
· Utilize site survey results to develop and identify requirements for system design, including RF data collection.
· Model indoor propagation and capacity to determine antenna placement and equipment needs. -Use a variety of measures to confirm system designs including test equipment, power density and power meter, spectrum analyzer, and pilot scanner RF testing, reporting, and troubleshooting.
· Prepare documentation for clients detailing system designs and configuration of deployed solutions.
· Participate in solution iBwave designs and bidding proposals as needed.
· Additional responsibilities include performing site walks and audits, testing, installation,
Commissioning, integration, and Troubleshooting / technical support in the field and remotely on a variety of DAS systems.
· Continuously develop and enhance knowledge, skills and abilities through various learning channels to expand technical and non-technical capabilities. Ensure further expansion of skill set in the operating systems, networking infrastructure, and products & services that CBN Solutions Group Inc supports.
· Maintain and enhance a strong client service-oriented environment focused on problem prediction, detection, and resolution. Actively and consistently recommend and support all efforts to improve, simplify, automate, and enhance day-to-day service delivery operations and the client experience.
· Develop mathematical models of subsystems to predict performance, analyze performance and evaluate data.
· Conducting site visits to ensure systems are installed as designed.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Electric Engineering, Telecommunications or related field.
· 2 years of experience as RF DAS Design Engineer, IBS Design & Implementation Engineer, IBS Design Engineer or related positions.
· 2 years’ experience using 5G/LTE/WCDMA technologies.
· 1 year experience using iBwave Software.
· 1 year experience including:
o Coaxial and fiber cable
o Integration of passive & active devices including RF to BDAs
o Solving problems relating to Noise Figure (NF) & Passive Inter-Modulation (PIM).
· 1 year experience with Spectrum Analyzers, Anritsu Site Master, CW Testing, and TEMS.
· 2 years’ experience in design & implementation of DAS solutions involving complex & large client venues.
· Frequent travel to site locations in Palm Beach, Broward, and Miami-Dade counties.
· Driver’s license
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM
